There’s a lot that you can do with a blank slate like a concrete floor. In fact, you are only limited by your imagination. Unique colors, patterns, decorative scoring, staining concrete can make a space unique, attractive and luxurious; all without breaking the bank.
The great thing about working with a concrete medium is that, aside from it’s affordability, it’s quite functional as well. Take for example pouring concrete for counter tops and sinks. We’ve been seeing more of this type of construction and renovation in homes these days and the finishing acid stains are simply remarkable. You can, quite literally, stain the concrete any color you wish.
Take a look at the video below for an example of a really interesting staining color and pattern reminiscent of weathered copper and rust.
Basically, the color was obtained by staining the concrete with a base coat of Turquoise, followed by a number of ‘rust’ colored stains. Sealed with Nano 1000 and waxed for a satin finish. It looks really nice.
